Not my favorite. Had to make myself read it and found myself skimming a lot. More description than I like. The bird man – I kept hoping he was good even though I knew better. I was mad at the dad through the whole book. And the forest ranger guy… omg! And the sister? What was that? Wish I could be there for the discussion! Don’t forget to order next months book for me!!

  2. Hi Amy,
Thanks for your thoughts and we will!

Amy – I had to force myself too. way too much about swamp trees. it was an interesting discussion. The more we talked about it we found parts that we liked. We all agreed the Bird Man was creepy and wanted him to be nice. The sister had mental problems, did you catch the end where she is on meds? Emma said next month’s book is lighter (less dark) and shorter.
